This week, it was reported that the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was not expected to report to training camp in Oxnard.

This report comes amid an earlier report that the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was not on the team’s charter flight to Southern California for training camp amid his current contract dispute with the team, per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

To make matters even worse, Lamb reportedly wants to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in football, along with Micah Parsons.
#Cowboys COO Stephen Jones says Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb both want to become the highest paid non-quarterback in football, which would be over $35M per season.
Jones says they have all that going on while also juggling the Dak Prescott situation, which is ongoing.

This is downright horrible news for the Dallas Cowboys, as there is no way they could actually sign all three to contracts that huge.
Last season, CeeDee Lamb was dynamic on the field. He ended the 2023 season with 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, the best season of his four-year career.
He is entering the final season of his rookie contract and certainly deserves a contract extension.
This news comes after word first emerged that the Cowboys are making Lamb’s contract extension their “No. 1 priority,” and that comes amid the team’s discussions with impending free agent quarterback Dak Prescott.
“The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly prioritizing wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s contract extension over quarterback Dak Prescott’s new deal,” the Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins reported.
“The good news is the Cowboys made Lamb their No. 1 priority. According to a person with knowledge of the front office’s thinking, the Cowboys are putting Lamb’s contract extension talks ahead of quarterback Dak Prescott’s.”
As it stands right now, CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys’ front office are not on the same page, which spells doom for a team that needs to rebound from yet another playoff failure.
Cowboys Yet To Have ‘Substantial’ Negotiations With WR CeeDee Lamb
CeeDee Lamb is not reporting to the start of Cowboys training camp, and the season is already starting off wrong.
The All-Pro wideout is set to play on his fifth-year option.
Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reported this weekthat the team have yet to have “substantial” extension talks with Lamb to date.
Lamb’s decision on skipping the start of camp and contract talks not moving are two moves worth watching for a team hoping to be a Super Bowl contender.
