Ben Affleck was spotted spending a bit of quality time with his son, Samuel, in Santa Monica on Sunday.

The 49-year-old actor and his youngest child, aged nine, were seen arriving at a local video game studio and chatted with a few friends.

The Argo director shares his son, as well as his two older daughters, with his former wife, Jennifer Garner, whom he divorced in 2018.

Affleck cut a very casual figure during his outing, as he wore a purple button-up shirt and dark pants while he spent time with his son.

The father-child duo both wore facial coverings to keep themselves protected from COVID-19 during their time at the studio.

The actor and his former wife, 49, initially met while working on films such as Pearl Harbor and Daredevil, and they developed a close friendship on the set of both features.

The actress was married to her first husband, Scott Foley, when she initially met the Good Will Hunting cast member, although they divorced in 2004.

Affleck and Garner began dating in 2004 and moved quickly with their relationship, as they went on to tie the knot the following year.

The Alias actress eventually gave birth to the couple’s first child, Violet Anne Affleck, that same year.

The former pair waited for four years before they welcomed a second daughter named Seraphina Rose into their lives in 2009.

The performers eventually welcomed Samuel into their family three years after the birth of their middle child.

Affleck and Garner remained together for three more years before they announced that they had separated and were planning to divorce in 2015.

The pair drew out their process for three years before their marriage was formally dissolved in 2018.

The two have remained on good terms ever since the end of their relationship and they currently co-parent their children.

Affleck then began dating Ana de Armas, although the two eventually went their separate ways earlier this year.

The actor then rekindled his relationship with his former partner, Jennifer Lopez, to whom he was briefly engaged before they called off their engagement in 2004.

The two remained in contact following their split, although the 52-year-old singer went on to marry and divorce Marc Anthony, with whom she shared twins named Maximilian and Emme.

The former couple first sparked reconciliation rumors this past April, when they were seen spending time together, and they went on several more public dates before they went Instagram official in July.

A source spoke to E! Online earlier this year and spoke about how Affleck had quickly endeared himself to Lopez’s children.

‘Her kids really like Ben and think he’s funny and fun to be around. He’s totally won the family over with his charm,’ they said.

The insider also made a point of expressing that the actor and the singer ‘are inseparable’ and that their relationship was ‘going really well.’

They went on to express that Lopez ‘has never been happier and knows it was meant to be.’
