Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery has come under fire for celebrating his birthday in Las Vegas while the WNBA rookie traveled to Minnesota for work.

Social media posts shared by controversial comedian Theo Von showed the 26-year-old partying at a day club surrounded by scantily-clad bottle girls.

‘Dress for the future u want,’ Von captioned a clip on his Instagram Story over the weekend at Encore Beach Club.

‘Get him away from CC this instant she deserves better,’ one fan wrote on X after the clip began circulating.

‘That’s not what my queen deserves,’ another chimed in.

A third wrote, ‘So he ain’t even want to spend his bday with her in Indy? Noted.’

Others defended McCaffery, with one fan writing, ‘Has no one ever went out and had fun on their birthday? Friends surprised him with this. It’s hilarious. Just let people have fun and laugh. Everyone has to make something out of nothing All. The. Time.’

Earlier in the weekend, Clark playfully teased McCaffery when she shared a sweet birthday tribute.

The couple both played basketball at the University of Iowa and started dating before Clark became a household name around the country.

The Indiana Fever rookie joked about some friendly competition between the pair as McCaffrey turned 26.

‘Happy Birthday Con! Celebrating you is easy 🙂 thankful to have someone as selfless and as loving as you in my life,’ she wrote. ‘May this be the year you finally find a way to outshoot me 😉 Love you always.’

McCaffery hilariously responded, ‘And I’ll keep letting you win those shooting contests!!!!!’

Clark posted four photos in the Instagram carousel, including one of her beau kissing her head and another of them hugging on the court.

It comes amid news that the  Fever rookie – who was initially left off the USA Olympic roster – may have been handed a lifeline for Paris with Diana Taurasi battling a leg injury.

The six-time Olympian and Phoenix Mercury guard Taurasi has missed her team’s last four WNBA games with the issue.
