Some folks out there are still questioning whether or not the Caitlin Clark effect translates to her marketability in terms of generating merchandise sales. Well, the Indiana Fever superstar proved just that on Monday, September 9, by selling out her latest Wilson basketballs just minutes after her announcement.
Clark took to Instagram on Monday afternoon to post a photo of her personalized Wilson basketballs. She did not even caption the photo, save for a link that directly leads to Wilson’s online shop.
According Clark Report, which is a popular Caitlin Clark-dedicated account on X (formerly Twitter), it took just 40 minutes for the balls to sell out on the site.

True enough, if you go and check the link that Clark posted on her Instagram Stories, it will show you six Wilson x Caitlin Clark basketballs — all of which are either sold out or out of stock.
Fever fans wasted no time buying Clark’s latest merch, which cost between $24.95 (Mini ball) and $49.95 (golden Highlight Reel Basketball). The multi-colored one and the Iowa-themed ball featured in Clark’s announcement post both retail for $24.95, but as mentioned previously, you will need to wait until Wilson restocks them if you want to get your hands on them.

Clark recently signed a $28 million deal with Nike, which entails an upcoming signature shoe (expected to come out sometime in 2026). It would not be surprising if those sell out too as soon as they hit the shelves.
