Jennifer Garner and her mini-me daughter, Violet, were spotted having lunch in Santa Monica, Calif., over the weekend.
The mother-daughter duo were dressed casually in long maxi skirts and sneakers for the low-key outing, with the actress, 52, rocking a pair of shades and her 18-year-old sporting chic eyeglasses.
Sources told Page Six that Garner has been taking comfort in the three children she shares with ex-Ben Affleck – Violet, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 – following the loss of her beloved father, William Garner.

The “13 Going on 30” star’s dad died in late March at the age of 85. At the time, she shared a heartwarming tribute to him via social media.
“We were with him, singing ‘Amazing Grace’ as he left us (did we carry him across or scare him away— valid question). While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85 year old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners,” she wrote in part.
“We are grateful for Dad’s gentle demeanor and quiet strength. For how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of all in, ever patient girl dad. We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership and faith.”

“He has been checking in on her and making sure she knows he is there for her since her dad’s passing,” a source told “Entertainment Tonight” of the actor, 51, Iast month. “It was the kids’ grandfather, and Ben and him always got along.”

The insider added that Affleck “considered [William] family and always will,” so he has been “supportive across the board.”
In other news, don’t expect to see Garner swanning the red carpet at Monday’s Met Gala – despite Lopez, 54, serving as a celebrity host. In a resurfaced Vogue interview, the actress admitted that she has no intention of returning after attending in 2007 wearing Valentino.
“I went to the Met Ball exactly one time. I found it a little scary so I haven’t went back,” she confessed.
