“I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool,” Garner quipped in a series of videos shared on social media documenting her experience.

In the first clip, which was from two minutes into being stuck, Garner quipped, “I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use someone. Yeah, we’re looking for stairs.”
Eleven minutes later, Garner shared in another clip that things were starting to get “toasty” temperature wise and they were in communication with help on how to get moving again. “I’m schvitz-y. I need to blot,” the visibly glistening actress said. “Don’t cut the blue wire is what we’re hearing.”
In another clip with the time stamp of 35 minutes, Garner explained why she was sitting: “I think I heard on an episode of The Office or Brooklyn Nine-Nine or something that you’re supposed to sit, so we’re sitting.” At the 41-minute mark, Garner can be seen dancing and singing “99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer…”
They ended up calling 911 at the 45-minute mark. However, when someone from Garner’s team noted they were in San Diego, Garner said, “I thought we were in Vegas.”
Things progressed at the hour mark when they heard beeping noises and the elevator lights came back on. Trying to send good vibes, Garner began singing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.”
It wasn’t until the hour-and-12-minute mark that Garner’s clip shows the elevator doors finally opening as she and the crew scream in excitement as they’re greeted by what look like firefighters.
Garner was able to make it to the panel despite the mishap.
Last July, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the the actress was set to return as Marvel Comics’ assassin antiheroine Elektra for Deadpool 3, marking her first time in the role after a nearly 20-year hiatus, Garner first played the Marvel assassin in 20th Century Fox’s Daredevil, the 2003 feature that starred Ben Affleck.
Jennifer Garner‘s first trip to Comic-Con didn’t go as smoothly as expected.
Taking to her Instagram on Saturday, the actress documented her experience of getting stuck in an elevator at the San Diego Convention Center for over an hour, sharing a series of videos, each noting how long she and the other passengers had been trapped. She captioned her videos, “Baby’s first Comic Con: a short story.”
Garner was at Comic-Con appearance for a surprise appearance after the Deadpool & Wolverine screening on Thursday night.
