On Monday, May 27, Jennifer Garner enjoyed a special moment with her mother, Patricia Ann Garner, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 52-year-old Family Switch star shared the experience with her followers on Instagram Stories, capturing the joy of finding her star together.

In the video, Garner can be seen panning across the famous sidewalk before stopping at her star. She excitedly exclaimed, “It’s here,” while her mom read out, “Jennifer Garner.” The actress then encouraged her mother to stand on the star, saying, “There you go. You stand there mom. You stand on that.” Patricia stepped into the frame with a bright smile, proudly standing on her daughter’s star.

Garner also posted a follow-up photo of herself standing on her star, captioned, “It’s still there.” The Alias actress received her star in August 2018, surrounded by her parents Pat and William, her sisters Susannah and Melissa, and her children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

During the 2018 ceremony, Garner dedicated her star to her three children, emphasising the importance of hard work and good fortune. “When you walk over this star, I want you to remember that this is about hard work and good luck and not a whole lot else,” she said before adding humorously, “You define me, not this wonderful spot on the pavement.”

Earlier this month, Garner celebrated her mother’s 86th birthday with a heartfelt social media tribute, sharing funny videos of Patricia giving cooking tips and talking about exercise. “This is a Pat Garner stan account. I love you, Mom, happy 86th birthday!” Garner wrote.

Garner frequently shares her close relationship with her mother on social media and recently discussed her mom’s parenting wisdom on the Kelly Corrigan Wonders: About Your Mother podcast. “My mom always says when they’re being their worst, that’s when they need the biggest hug,” Garner shared. She also recalled Patricia’s advice to “be very liberal with your yeses and save your nos,” and the value of “closing your mouth” instead of saying no.

In March, Garner’s father William passed away peacefully. Garner shared the news on Instagram, expressing her appreciation for her father and the loving legacy he left behind. “My sisters and I will never be done talking about how wonderful he was, so bear with us,” she wrote.
