In the middle of all the drama surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the actor has found support in Jennifer Garner, his ex-wife and mother of his children. In fact, Garner was reportedly encouraging her ex-husband to work on his relationship with JLo. However, apparently the actress has chosen to ‘resign’ from her role as advisor, since the situation between the actor and his current wife would be bringing back painful memories.

“Garner finally got to a point where she said, ‘Sorry, figure this out yourself,'” a reports indicate after a source told the DailyMail. “It was starting to be too painful for her because it brought back a lot of memories of her divorce.”

According to the insider, Jennifer has been struggling with memories of her own marriage and divorce with Ben for the past few weeks, and while she truly cares about her ex-husband and JLo, she prefers not to be so involved anymore.

“Throughout their marriage there were times when Jen felt in the background after JLo, even though there was no communication between her and Ben for years,” said the source consulted by the British tabloid. “She was surprised at how public he became when they (Lopez and Affleck) reunited because he was always a man who wanted to be out of the spotlight when they were married,” he explained.

The reports about Garner’s reaction to Ben and JLo’s rumored crisis, come just a few days after the DailyMail published that businessman John Miller, boyfriend of the Alias actress, was tired of seeing his partner so involved in trying to arrange her ex-husband’s marriage.

“Jen opened the doors of her home and her life to JLo because she had left the past behind. He worries about JLo and his children and how it will affect them all,” the source said and now that’s what keeps this going.

“But in the end, it’s not Jen’s circus, it’s not Jen’s monkeys and she will no longer be the marriage counselor for her ex-husband and his wife,” the source said very sur of what the situation is right now.
