Lopez and Affleck were pictured wearing their wedding rings amid marital tensions as they attended his son Samuel’s graduation ceremony earlier that day

Jennifer Lopez recently joined Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to support a family milestone.

On Wednesday, June 12, Lopez and Garner were seen entering Affleck’s rental home in Brentwood, California, to attend a graduation party for Garner and Affleck’s 12-year-old son Samuel.

Earlier that day, Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, both wore their wedding rings while they attended Samuel’s graduation ceremony, as they navigate marital tensions.

Affleck shares three kids with former wife Garner: Samuel plus Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15. Meanwhile, Lopez is mom to 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

This isn’t the first time the two have attended a family event amid issues in their relationship. Earlier this month, Lopez supported Samuel and went to his basketball game, where she and Affleck shared a kiss on the cheek.

“It’s a good sign they were at the game together,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.

Three days earlier, the Marry Me star also attended Violet’s high-school graduation ceremony, and she and Affleck held hands during the occasion.

A source told PEOPLE on Tuesday, June 11, that Lopez and the Academy Award winner remain “friendly” despite their marital woes.

“They’re still friendly and see each other every few days,” the insider said.

As Affleck and Lopez experience marriage troubles just under two years since tying the knot, a source told PEOPLE on May 28 that Garner, 52, “wants the best for” her ex-husband.

“She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible,” said the insider.

The source added that Garner, who is dating chairman and CEO of Cali Group John Miller, “likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben’s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben.”

Affleck and Garner married in 2009. The former couple announced their breakup in 2015 and officially filed for divorce in April 2017; the divorce was finalized the following year. Lopez and Affleck, meanwhile, rekindled their early-2000s romance in 2021 and married in July 2022.

The pair have been living apart from each other in Los Angeles in recent weeks, as Lopez has promoted her movie Atlas in L.A. and Mexico solo while Affleck has continued filming his upcoming project The Accountant 2 in L.A.
