Violet Affleck is all grown up! And has a LOT to say!
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s eldest daughter is PASSIONATE about healthcare! In new footage from a meeting of the LA County Board of Supervisors this week, the 18-year-old delivered a fiery speech advocating for increased mask availability in Los Angeles. In addition to more masks, she pleaded for air filtration and uvc light in public spaces, as well as mask mandates in county medical facilities, and for the Board of Supervisors to oppose mask bans to help at-risk groups from the COVID-19 virus and other deadly viruses.
Why so passionate, you may ask? Well, she did mention contracting a “post-viral condition” in 2019, which showed her that “medicine does not always have all the answers to the consequences of even minor viruses.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, a “post-viral condition” occurs after a viral illness and can cause fatigue, joint and muscle pain, respiratory issues, memory loss, and other neurological issues depending on the illness. Sounds like what a lot of other folks have been suffering after bouts with COVID. No wonder she’s trying to keep people safe! Watch her impassioned public statement (below):
