Kim Kardashian is admitting that she isn’t always as strict with her kids as she’d like to be.
On this week’s episode of The Kardashians, the SKIMS founder, 43, shared that she often has trouble balancing being a single mom of four with her busy work life. In a confessional, Kim says, “I am a single mom of four and it is wild.”
The scene then flashes back to her in glam as she’s explaining how chaotic her home is.
“Right when I think I have two minutes just to wash my hair, ‘MOM!’ ” Kim screams, mimicking her kids. “And they open the door to the shower.’
In her confessional, the mom of four says that her kids often interrupt her at the most inopportune times.
“I almost feel like my kids have this radar where they know that I’m doing something really important,” Kim says.
The episode then switches to show clips of her son Saint rolling around on the floor and interrupting her confessionals.
“I thought I was going to end up on an episode of Snapped yesterday,” Kim says as she sits in a car, headed to jury duty.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim laments about how chaotic her house is, saying that she had a Zoom interview earlier that day and her kids kept interrupting her.
“Oh my God. No, what I wanted to say was that I had a Zoom interview at the house with all my kids there banging on the door, just screaming,” the mom of four recalls. “And I was literally hiding in a bathroom with the door locked. And I was just like, ‘I can’t believe this.’ I mean, I can believe it.'”
“I’m open to anything at this point because I can’t live like this. I ran out of patience and that’s what my superpower was, being calm and patient,” she adds.
The scene switches to a confessional, where Kim says again that she wants to try to be more strict like her sister Khloé.
“Sometimes it gets just a little intense,” Kim shares in the confessional. “I want to be more strict like Khloé but I don’t know why I have a hard time just saying, ‘No is no.’ I think I also don’t want to deal with the whining and the tears of not getting their way.”
“They know when to con me and when to throw the little, you know, start with the tears so that I’m like, ‘Stop, stop. Sure. Take your iPad, you know, just stop,’ ” the mom of four reveals. “I just have to be like, ‘I don’t care if you’re gonna throw a tantrum in front of everyone. The answer is no.”
