He recently tried his hand at collecting basketball cards and struck beginner’s luck. While at Fanatics Fest in New York on Friday, Williams shared that he pulled a rare Luka Doncic card, which is estimated to be worth at least $100,000.
Williams shared that he bought a National Treasures box for $10,500, which ended up containing the rare Doncic rookie card. This card features a jersey patch and Doncic’s autograph and has been graded nine out of ten for its condition.
Williams mentioned that he’s already received offers ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 for the card, but he’s holding off on selling it.
Before making any decisions, he wants to see if his former teammate, Luka Doncic, might make a better offer. The two played together in Dallas during the 2023-24 season.
“I said I’ve got to give Luka first right to refusal, just because he would buy this for like a million, I bet,” Williams said. “I FaceTimed him twice, but he didn’t pick up. He’s in Slovenia right now. So he’ll call me back, and I’ll talk to him about it because this is absurd.”
Williams also noted that he has collected Pokemon cards in the past.
