Jennifer Garner shows off her dream home she built from scratch in Los Angeles, complete with an orchard, swimming pool and cozy living space for her four children.

Jennifer Garner’s home was first revealed in Architectural Digest magazine in early September. The 52-year-old actress proudly introduced her living space because this is the first house she built herself, she is very satisfied with it and it bears her own personality.

Set amid the sunny hills of Los Angeles, the home is described by the magazine as ‘a mix of ranch charm and contemporary comfort, where cohesion, utility and simple living are prioritized, able to withstand muddy feet and impromptu dance parties in the living room’.

Jennifer Garner brought her childhood memories of West Virginia to her home in downtown Los Angeles. ‘I wanted the house to have a sense of history, but also to accommodate a large family with lots of activities,’ the actress said.

The ‘Alias’ star began the process of building a house five years ago, after she finalized her divorce from actor Ben Affleck in 2018. She said she had visited many villas but felt they were not suitable, so she bought this land and hired architects and interior designers Steve and Brooke Giannetti to sketch out a home for her and her children. Jen was immediately satisfied when Steve drew the house with a front garden and a path between rows of trees leading to the door, a swimming pool and a communal living space behind.

‘I came up with the idea of ​​creating something that felt like a farmhouse and a barn. We wanted to use natural wood to make the house warm and cozy, which matched her warmth because Jen is such a lovely person,’ the architect said.

Jennifer is happy to create a safe, cozy living space for her children. ‘They are as comfortable sitting in the living room as they are doing homework in the dining room. And that’s the dream, right?’, the actress said.

The interior designer revealed that Garner loves neutral, soft colors. The house is therefore quiet and unpretentious despite being fully equipped.
