Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck might be heading towards a divorce, but that doesn’t mean she’s stopped caring about his children.

The Gone Girl actor shares three kids with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12. The kids have gotten close to J.Lo and her own children – 16-year-old twins Max and Emme – who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

It’s believed Jennifer’s top priority now is spending time with Ben’s kids following her trip to the Hamptons. A source has said she is trying to spend as much time with them as possible before the end of the school holidays.

“Just because she’s not with Ben, doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care about his kids. She always cared about them,” a source told People magazine.

They said Jennifer “wants to spend quality time with them before school resumes” and Violet heads off to college. They also said the singer had been desperate to try and make her marriage work, even spending “months looking for the perfect house for their blended family”.

Another source has said J.Lo is worried about how her and Ben’s divorce might impact their children. “There are five kids involved in this. She knew they were going to blend families,” the source said.
