It’s not easy going through a divorce in the public eye, but Jennifer Lopez has the support of her family and friends. They are surrounding her with the love that she needs, and they are reportedly breathing a sigh of relief that her two-time ex, Ben Affleck, is out of the picture. It seems that many people in her inner circle were not thrilled about his presence in her life.

The first sign that things were amiss was when her BFF Leah Remini was absent from her 2022 wedding. She used the excuse that she was helping her daughter prepare for college, but there was more to the story. A Page Six insider claimed that Remini felt that Affleck was “selfish and is not fully committed as a partner.” She wanted better for her longtime friend, but Lopez didn’t see it that way and “cut off all ties” with Remini.

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez.
Remini wasn’t the only person in Lopez’s life who took issue with the Good Will Hunting star. It seems that J.Lo’s loyal manager Benny Medina was also not a fan. “The two of them can’t stand each other. They don’t get along and there’s still bad blood,” a second source added. The men’s feud goes back to the first time Lopez dated Affleck. She fired Medina in 2003, an event that was reportedly related to her Affleck relationship. Once the couple broke up, her manager was brought back into the fold.

This time around, Medina “kept his mouth shut” because he knew there was nothing stopping her. The second insider added, “He knows her, and he knew she was going to marry him no matter what, so what’s the point?” Nobody wanted to tell Lopez, “I told you so.” Instead, Medina and Remini, who has reportedly reconciled with her, are keeping the “Jenny From the Block” singer close amid the tumultuous split.

Hopefully, Remini and Lopez can work their way back to gushing about each other like they did in 2018 during a joint appearance on The View. “It was one of those instant chemistry things, where you just feel like, ‘I love this person. I love being around this person. This person makes me laugh,” Lopez raved. Remini added, “We’re very close, like sisters… But in a different way that sisters are.”
