There’s been a lot of talk surrounding Caitlin Clark and her impact on the WNBA. Many people, including Charles Barkley, LeBron James, and others, have spoken out on this matter. Now, Alysha Clark has shared her thoughts on everything. With that said, let’s roll the footage.

“I just want to hear your thoughts about the whole conversation surrounding Caitlin Clark,” Alysha was asked.

At the end of the day, you hear people saying we should let this player do X, Y, and Z. But this is our job. We show up every day to compete.

Every rookie that comes into this league—whether it’s Breanna Stewart, Jewell Loyd, myself, or Kate Martin—veterans are going to challenge them because this is a grown women’s league, and it’s the best league in the world for a reason. It doesn’t matter who you are as a rookie. I was a 25-year-old rookie when I came into this league, and veterans like DeLisha Milton-Jones came at my neck. I was playing overseas as a professional, but that’s just how it is. You come in here to compete and show the rookies what this league is about.

So it’s nothing out of the norm. I just push it aside as noise until they want to sit down and have a conversation with any of the veterans who have been here. I don’t pay any mind to it.”

That was WNBA star Alysha Clark making her stance clear, essentially calling out Charles Barkley and even LeBron James, who commented on Caitlin Clark during a podcast. This whole situation has blown up into a major topic of discussion across the nation.

I’m concerned that it could create a divide within our community, especially regarding Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. We shouldn’t bring race into this. Caitlin is a phenomenal player, and so is Angel. We can’t hold Caitlin solely responsible for changing the WNBA landscape, although she has played a significant role. We also need to acknowledge Angel Reese, Kate Martin, Cameron Brink, and other young talents who are collectively transforming the league.
