The full schedule for the 2024 NFL season will be released at 8:00 p.m. EST on NFL Network tonight. The league has already announced several games, including the Kickoff Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 5.
According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, the New York Jets are scheduled for six (!) primetime games over the first 11 weeks. As previously announced, they’ll kick off their 2024 season against the reigning NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football.”
Their next primetime game will be a Thursday night contest against the New England Patriots in Week 3, with a Week 6 MNF showdown against the Buffalo Bills taking place on Oct. 14. Six days later, the Jets will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.”
On Oct. 31, another Thursday night game is on the schedule as the Jets host CJ Stroud’s Houston Texans. Finally, their last primetime game is a SNF showdown against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11.
The #Jets will have 7 standalone games in the first 11 weeks of the season (6 primetime games + 1 international):
– Week 1: at 49ers (MNF)
– Week 3: Patriots (TNF)– Week 5: Vikings (London)
– Week 6: Bills (MNF)
– Week 7: at Steelers (SNF)
– Week 9: Texans (TNF)

And as you might have guessed, social media wasn’t exactly thrilled to learn that the Jets will be featured aplenty in primetime during the 2024 NFL season:

2024 NFL Season Better Go Better For The Jets
The Jets had six primetime games last season, and that was obviously because of the hype surrounding the team after they traded for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. That strategy went to waste after Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles tear minutes into his debut.
One year later, the NFL is doubling down in loading up on Jets primetime games. So hopefully, the four-time league MVP stays healthy and makes this team watchable after last year’s debacle.
