REPORT: Tom Brady Broke A Major “Rule” He Had With Ex-Wife Gisele Bündchen

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady reportedly reached out to ex-wife Gisele Bündchen to apologize after going against their agreement following their divorce.

In Oct. 2022, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen announced that they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage. The two agreed to joint custody of their two children, and have since tried to avoid speaking about their highly-publicized divorce.

But at “The Roast of Tom Brady” event aired on Netflix last Sunday, several jokes about Brady and Bündchen were made. Comedian Kevin Hart, who hosted the event, referenced Bündchen’s relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

According to a report from Sara Donnellan of Us Weekly, Tom Brady actually reached out and apologized to his ex-wife over the jokes that were made during his roast. The report claims that Brady and Bündchen had agreed about making “no disparaging remarks” about the other:

Gisele and Tom had a ‘no disparaging remarks’ rule when it came to speaking about each other or their marriage and divorce. She is definitely offended and upset about the comments made at the roast…She thinks her new relationship should have been off-limits. Tom did reach out to Gisele to apologize to her. They are cordial and only communicate about the kids.”

It has also been said that jokes about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft were supposed to be “off-limits.” But comedian Jeff Ross made a massage joke about Kraft and Brady during the event, prompting the NFL legend to go on stage and tell him to “never say that (expletive) again.”

“The Roast of Tom Brady” featured appearances from other high-profile celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Andrew Schultz, Tom Segura, Nikki Glaser, Peyton Manning, Bill Belichick, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.

Tom Brady Is Gearing Up For His Next Career

After spending a year away from football, Brady is returning to your television sets on NFL Sundays, beginning this September.

Brady is set to begin his 10-year, $375 million career with FOX Sports as an NFL analyst. He’ll work with the network’s top team, Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews. On Monday, it was announced that Brady’s first game as an analyst will be the Cleveland Browns’ Week 1 opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
