During the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, cameras captured a mic’d up Caitlin Clark delivering an urgent message to Angel Reese and her teammates.

The on-court rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has been a major sports storyline over the past year, beginning when Reese taunted Clark after leading LSU to a 102-85 victory over Iowa in the 2023 women’s basketball national championship game.

Despite any personal differences, Clark and Reese demonstrated during the All-Star Game that they can set aside rivalries and excel together on the court.

Clark and Reese led Team WNBA to a 117-109 victory over Team USA at the All-Star Game. Reese achieved a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in her WNBA All-Star debut.

During the game, cameras caught a mic’d up Caitlin Clark shouting “Go go go” to Angel Reese and the rest of her teammates after Team USA scored. Clark then dribbled to the hoop and set up Reese for an easy two points.

Clark finished with four points, 10 rebounds, and two steals in Team WNBA’s victory. Dallas Wings star Arike Ogunbowale scored a game-high 34 points, while New York Liberty standout Breanna Stewart led Team USA with 31 points.

Clark and Reese now aim to rally their teams into the postseason.

The WNBA is currently on a three-week Olympic break, giving Clark and Reese valuable rest before resuming their postseason pushes.

The Indiana Fever hold the No. 7 seed with an 11-15 record, while Reese’s Chicago Sky occupy the final playoff spot with a 10-14 record. Both teams are three games ahead of the Atlanta Dream, who are just outside the playoff picture.

The Sky will return to action on August 15 with a home game against the Phoenix Mercury. The following day, Indiana will host Phoenix in their first game after the Olympic break.
