Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs has social media in stitches after going on Instagram live following the ultimate dental procedure everyone dreads.
Jahmyr Gibbs paid a visit to the dentist to have his wisdom teeth removed. Folks who have already gone through the procedure understand that it’s not exactly the most pleasant experience, especially the aftermath when your face swells up.
But Gibbs decided to have fun with the experience by going on Instagram Live to show how he was doing post-surgery. Though he’s clearly in some discomfort, Gibbs manages to keep his audience entertained while icing his face:

Arguably the most stunning pick of the 2023 NFL Draft was when the Lions took Gibbs at No. 12 overall. For starters, they had already signed a standout running back in David Montgomery.
Jahmyr Gibbs wasn’t projected to go that high, and running backs rarely go inside the top-20 anymore. But Gibbs proved the doubters wrong by racking up 1,261 yards of offense and 11 total touchdowns, helping the Lions to a) their first division title in 30 years b) their first playoff win since 1991 and c) their first NFC Championship game since 1991.
Gibbs continued his all-world play in the postseason, tallying 238 yards of offense and three touchdowns in Detroit’s three playoff games.
Jahmyr Gibbs & Lions Open 2024 Season vs. Rams
Gibbs and the Detroit Lions will welcome old friend Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, a rematch of last season’s thrilling 2023 Wild Card Round (a 24-23 Detroit victory).
That game will be featured on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” program that also aired their January playoff meeting. Both the Rams and Lions figure to be among the top contenders in the NFC again, so this matchup could carry significant playoff implications.
