Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship rekindling has become one of the biggest pop culture stories of the last few years, with the J Lo even releasing a documentary – the Greatest Love Story Never Told, about their reunion.

But just two years after they tied the knot surrounded by A-list guests, they have been plagued with divorce rumours.

Jennifer, 54, and Ben, 51, have sparked concern among their loyal fan base, with followers noting their separate appearances and JLo’s liking of cryptic Instagram posts detailing relationship struggles.

The couple, known as Bennifer. got engaged at the end of 2002 but broke it off a year later before calling quits on their relationship for good in 2004.

Then, in April 2021, JLo and Ben were spotted together for the first time in over a decade, sparking relationship rumours. They eventually went public with their rekindled romance and wed in July 2022.

Now, a source claimed to In Touch that Ben has moved out of the $60 million home he shares with Lopez. He’s said to be focusing on his work and his kids now.

‘Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for,’ the insider went on to say. ‘They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.’

The public got a glimpse into the relationship when Jennifer released her Amazon Prime documentary, ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, in February, which chronicled her love story with Ben. But while it might have had romantic intentions, it seemingly put a strain on the pair’s marriage.

The candid show was the third part of her very public $20 million tribute to Ben, which also consisted of ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’, a semi autobiographical ‘musical rom-com action sci-fi’ film and her single, This Is Me… Now.

The source said: ‘Ben would never try to stifle [Jennifer]’s dreams or tell her she can’t do something that advances her career, even though she can be quite controlling of him.’

Femail has contacted the couple’s rep for comment.

They detailed the highs and lows of their rekindled romance in the new documentary, with Ben revealing he initially asked his wife to keep their relationship offline when they decided to give things another ago.

While navigating their reconciliation, two decades following their first engagement, the two-time Oscar winner admitted he had zero interest in becoming a fixture on his wife’s social media accounts.

‘Getting back together, I said, “Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,”‘ the actor recalled. ‘Then I sort of realised it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go,”Well, I don’t like the water.”

He continued: ‘We’re just two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise.’

After the documentary’s release, fans went on to notice that the pair have spent a lot of time apart recently, and attending events without each other. Jennifer was pictured stepping out without husband Ben on Wednesday, amid rumours that the Hollywood couple are headed for a split.

The Let’s Get Loud singer was solo for her co-chairing duties at the glitzy Met Gala in New York on May 6, with many surprised that the Batman star skipped the event.

Ben is said to have been working on The Accountant 2, but the source said he ‘decided to call it quits’ on his marriage to the singer.

Meanwhile Ben has been out without his wife. He was on his own while appearing at The Roast of Tom Brady on May 5.

And when the pair did attempt to put up a united front, it did not reassure the public that the couple were on good terms.

Despite her not addressing split rumours, Jennifer then went on to like a cryptic Instagram post that detailed relationship struggles.

The singer hit the like button on the post, created by relationship coach Lenna Marsak, which discussed the challenges of a relationship where there is no ‘integrity and respect.’

Lenna’s post featured several text slides, beginning with one that reads, ‘You cannot build a healthy relationship with someone who lacks integrity and emotional safety.’

Joe and Cheryl Dillon, California-based divorce mediators, told MailOnline:  ‘After the intense amount of media speculation that the celebrity couple have been under during the past few months, the news that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may be divorcing may not come as the biggest surprise.

‘As a famously private person, Ben Affleck has previously been vocal about wanting to keep his personal life – as well as those of his children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner- out of the spotlight. ‘Furthermore, if the high profile couple isn’t able to work through their differences and reconcile, in order to make the process as smooth as possible, and for the benefit of the children and step-children involved, the best way to move forward is with an amicable divorce.

‘In any divorce, there will be a temptation for couples to lay blame on one another for what went wrong.
