The Season 5 episode, which aired in 2006, starred Whoopi as a foster mom who raised a group of kids that became targeted.

While the popular EGOT winner now spends most of her time hosting The View, fans recently reminisced over her guest role on the long-running drama.

“Watching Whoopi Goldberg ‘To The Bone’ She is sooo good at being evil! I get chills every time I watch,” one person wrote on Reddit.

“She’s scary evil in that,” a second added.

“It was so trippy because I wasn’t used to seeing her evil!” a third wrote.

“She is superbly evil in that episode. Really shows her acting chops,” a fourth noted.

“People forget that she is an amazing actress!” another added.

“She’s so good in SVU S17, episode 4 too!!” someone else said.

The daytime TV host also appeared in a Season 17 episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Institutional Fail, as businesswoman Janette Grayson.

WHOOPI’S CAREER

Throughout her career, Whoopi has appeared in a wide range of television shows, including The Nanny, Blue Bloods, Everybody Hates Chris, and Hollywood Squares.

The list continues with films, with the actress snagging the 1991 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Oda Mae Brown in Ghost.

Some of her other blockbusters include The Color Purple and Sister Act.

Whoopi also had her own show in the early 90s, The Whoopi Goldberg Show, as well as her sitcom, Whoopi, which ran for one year in 2003.

Joining the crew in 2008, Whoopi solidified her spot as a co-host on The View.

In 2022, fans called for Whoopi to be removed from the daytime TV show after she made a few blunders and used foul language.

Whoopi also made insensitive comments about the Jewish community later that year that had fans petitioning to get her off the show.

NEXT STEPS

Most recently, Whoopi released her new film, Outlaw Posse, in early March.

The Hollywood star shared a clip of the movie on her Instagram weeks before, showing her completely transformed into her character, Mary.

Set in 1908, the film follows an outlaw who sets out to claim stolen gold in Montana after spending time hiding in Mexico.

The clip showed Mary aiming a gun at a character while wearing a dark outfit and a wide-brimmed circular hat.

Whoopi also announced another big career move away from The View earlier this year.

She is set to release a brand-new memoir, Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me, on May 7, 2024.

The semi-autobiographical, Blackstone Publishing book will chronicle Whoopi’s life, career, and family.

“This book is dedicated to my mother and my brother and our time together as a small, funny little unit. It’s dedicated to anyone who’s found themselves on a scary path not of their choosing or dealing with loss,”  she told People.

“This book is dedicated to everyone who is just trying to figure out the small stuff as well as the stuff where you have to be more than you thought you could be and it’s dedicated to love.”

She will tell stories of her mother, Emma Harris, who died in 2010, and her older brother, Clyde K. Johnson, who died in 2015.

“The book will serve as a way for the author to preserve the memories of her loved ones on the page,” People said.

Whoopi has also published three other books since 2011 and is the author of the children’s series, The Sugar Plum Ballerinas.
