Zach Wilson Looks Completely Unrecognizable As He Debuted ‘New Look’ Ahead Of The Broncos 2024 Season

Zach Wilson is on a new team and debuting a new look for his new beginnings.

The Denver Broncos are set to begin training camp next month, and Wilson is coming into it sporting a new look.

This week, the NFL’s X account tweeted out Zach Wilson sporting a new slicked-back hairstyle that made him look entirely different from the last time we saw him.

Fans wasted no time commenting on it:

Maybe this is the look Wilson needs to get his career back on track.

The New York Jets traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos along with a seventh-round pick earlier this year, getting a sixth-round pick in return.

The 2021 NFL Draft’s No. 2 overall pick has not lived up to the hype, and now he is getting another chance with a much-needed change of scenery.

Last season was supposed to be a year in which Zach Wilson sat on the bench and learned from Aaron Rodgers after the team traded for him.

Unfortunately, he would tear his Achilles in the first series, and his season would be over. As a result, Wilson was thrust back into the starting QB role and struggled once again.

In 2023, Wilson played in 12 games and completed 60.1 percent of his passes for 2,271 yards. He tossed eight touchdowns against seven interceptions. He also posted a passer rating of 77.2 (the highest of his career) and a QBR of 30.6 (the lowest of his career).

He would get benched several times, and it became clear that his time was up with the Jets.

Zach Wilson Involved In QB Competition To Save His Career

The Denver Broncos quarterback competition is a three-way battle between the rookie Bo Nix and the team’s two veterans, Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson.

Wilson, for whom the Broncos spent nearly two months negotiating a trade, is seemingly a longshot to win the spot.

According to The Athletic‘s Nick Kosmider, it is “hard to envision” Wilson obtaining the title of ‘starting quarterback’ in Denver this season. He also reported he may not even be the backup.

Wilson has “ground to make up” to beat out Stidham for the offense’s backup quarterback.
