Emmanuel Acho confident about Caleb Williams leading the Bears to the playoffs in his debut season

The NFL Draft is just over a week away and all eyes are on the draft pick of Caleb Williams. The former USC Trojans quarterback impressed everyone with his performance at the college level. Now, it is time for him to showcase his skills in professional football.

Over the last few months, Williams has been linked to the Chicago Bears, a team that suffered majorly last season due to their quarterback crisis. The unavailability coupled with an off form of their quarterback Justin Fields had them under-performing. His replacement also failed to impress much. Following that, the team traded Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The trade eventually increased the possibility of Williams making a foray into the Bears.

Williams has already impressed some of the analysts who claimed the Bears will make it to the playoffs in the coming time with the help of the quarterback Justin Fields. Among those, Emmanuel Acho believes that Williams might just be the torch-bearer of the Bears.

The reason I expect is because he is generational. And generational people do some generational. Not to mention, the Bears' talent is different from any other overall picks' talent. Even after what the Texans did, shut up to the Texans. Their roster is not what the Bears' roster is.

There is hardly any doubt that the Bears have a very good squad. The likes of D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and D’Andre Swift can pose a major threat to any defense on their day. In addition, the Bears have a very good defense, and with the re-inclusion of the defensive end Montez Sweat, things only look brighter.

Emmanuel Acho did not think highly of Justin Fields

The trade of Justin Fields was not easy. The player enjoyed a perfect time in the Chicago Bears squad. He had a good relationship with the core of the squad and many were hopeful about Justin Fields getting a second chance in the squad.

However, that did not happen, as the team decided to trade him. Fields joined the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the trade, Acho said that he might not find a proper place in the squad as well. He considered Russell Wilson more competent than Fields.

There are three categories in America. Game changers, game managers and game losers. Russell Wilson might not be a game changer but he has never been a game loser. Put him in the game manager category. Justin Fields, someone can very confidently make a case in front of the court that Justin Fields is a game looser.
