Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Relationship Timeline

Travis Kelce couldn’t hide his own amazement over the fact that he won over Taylor Swift on today’s episode of his podcast New Heights.

Kelce and his brother, Jason, had Lil Dicky as a guest on the episode. Dicky asked the brothers how they were doing with all the attention from Swift’s fans. Kelce had nothing but glowing things to say about the experience of being Swift’s boyfriend. “It’s fun,” he began. “I’m having a blast in life, baby, just flying high. Enjoying it all. Bringing new lives into the football world, opening the football world up to new things.”

Dicky then said that he believes Swift and Kelce dating is, “the best thing ever. I love it. Honestly my take on it [is]…I think there’s something that makes everyone feel like the world is kind of like high school where your most popular pop star, beloved musician somehow met your most popular, beloved athlete, and they actually fell in love, and it’s just real. And I don’t know, anyone who hates on it is like, a bitter loser, but I think a lot of people who would expect to hate on it actually love it, and they acknowledge they love it because there’s something so American about it. There’s something just classic about it.”

Kelce replied, “I appreciate that. I don’t know how I did it because she does not—she wasn’t into sports. So I don’t know how the fuck I did it.” Dicky suggested it was because Kelce gave Swift a shout-out on the podcast. Kelce then quipped, “no, I know exactly how I did it.”

Swift didn’t hide the fact that she wasn’t all that interested in football before meeting Kelce during her December Time interview. Swift told the magazine: “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

She also confirmed it was Kelce talking on New Heights about his failed attempt to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her July Kansas City, Missouri, Eras tour stop that caught her eye. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game [in September], we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
