Caitlin Clark gave a sweet shout-out to her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, Monday night following the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Just hours after she was selected as this year’s No. 1 draft pick by the Indiana Fever, the record-breaking basketball star took to social media to share two black-and-white snaps of her and her beau cuddled up close together while celebrating the exciting news.
“My fave person in the world,” Clark, 22, said of McCaffery, 25, via her Instagram Story.

The adorable couple’s photos were placed on a cocktail table and surrounded by mixed drinks at the party celebrating Clark’s massive career move.
Clark – who just ended her final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes earlier this month – also made fashion history Monday night by being the first athlete, male or female, to be dressed by Prada for the WNBA or NBA Draft.
She walked the red carpet in the designer ensemble consisting of a cream skirt and matching jacket layered over a silver sparkly bra top.

Clark also accessorized with translucent sunglasses, black pumps and a matching purse by the Italian fashion house.
Earlier in the night, McCaffery publicly lusted over his girlfriend’s stylish outfit on social media. He posted a drooling face emoji in response to a fan who asked for his opinion on the look.
Clark is regarded as one of the greatest college athletes of all time after making history with 3,951 points scored during her college basketball career with the Hawkeyes.

Still, the athlete admitted she was “a little anxious” ahead of draft night.
“I dreamed of this moment since I was in second grade, and it’s taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to soak it in,” Clark said in an interview with ESPN.
The event kicked off just over a week following the 2024 NCAA women’s championship game, which Clark and the Hawkeyes lost 87-75 against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
While her team didn’t win the title this year, she broke another record when Iowa’s Final Four game against Uconn became the most-watched basketball game in ESPN history with 12.3 million viewers.

The matchup was also the highest-viewed NCAA women’s basketball game and the most-watched college event ever.
Clark’s boyfriend – who is the son of Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery and Margaret McCaffery – cheered the athlete on throughout her final days of the season and sweetly called her “the goat” after her heartbreaking loss in Cleveland.
The two hard-launched their relationship via Instagram in August 2023 and have been packing on the PDA ever since.
