The Sanders have once again fallen under intense limelight as Coach Prime’s coaching methods were called out by former Colorado players in a story covered by The Athletic. However, his son’s behavior has caused another stir in social media, to the extent that a sports analyst had to intervene to give Shedeur Sanders a ‘reality check.’

Amidst the whole drama where the father-son duo is being heavily criticized all over social media, Stephen A. Smith took it further to mainstream attention as he discussed it in the latest video shared on his YouTube Channel. The ESPN analyst shared that even though Deion Sanders is quite close to him, he needs to be fair.

I do think somebody who needs to be checked just a little bit is Shedeur Sanders. Nobody else is saying this so I’m gonna say this.

Stephen A. Smith said

Smith took a dig at Shedeur’s celebration where he flexed his Rolex watch on camera and asserted in the sports landscape, the young quarterback is “miniature,” suggesting Shedeur should imbibe humility. Stephen A. Smith then said as he mimicked Shedeur’s celebration to prove his point.

If you see this watch right here, this little Rolex I got on, see that you know one of the things that I never do with my watchI never did that and in my profession quite frankly, I win a lot. Shedeur Sanders did that each time they won a game.

Stephen A. Smith quipped

Smith further argued that Deion can say whatever he desires to whoever because he has earned that entitlement with his two Super Bowl rings and for being a legendary cornerback in the history of the NFL.

Stephen A. Smith advised Shedeur Sanders to have a humble approach

On the other hand, Shedeur hasn’t even entered the NFL and thus, does not stand at the same level as his father– despite being a star quarterback. The analyst highlighted the young quarterback had barely achieved a milestone, thus he shall deal with the trolls and criticism with utmost humility and good intent.

Smith urged Shedeur to not defend his father with bravery and disrespect to others, as it works the opposite. He said Deion doesn’t need his son’s protection and therefore, Shedeur should focus on being the best version of himself on the football field, and nothing else.

Given, that the points Smith highlighted were absolutely true, he wouldn’t he disagreed with the fans. They also believe Shedeur should behave more maturely and understand that the players against his father are telling their stories with a heavy heart, and not with vengeance.
