Jennifer Garner continued her press tour for her new movie The Tribes of Palos Verdes on Tuesday with a screening at the Ray Kurtzman Theater in Los Angeles, California

Jennifer Garner may have told reporters this week she hasn’t “been on a date” in the two and a half years since separating from her husband of 10 years Ben Affleck, but when she does, she’ll have the perfect date night look at her disposal!

The 45-year-old actress and mother of three continued her press tour for her new movie The Tribes of Palos Verdes on Tuesday with a screening at the Ray Kurtzman Theater in Los Angeles, California — stepping out in a simple little black satin slip dress with spaghetti straps and an ankle-length hem.

She accessorized her ensemble with a delicate golden necklace and black strappy heels. For hair and makeup, Garner went with a more natural look — popping her lip with a subtle pink shade.

In the film, which is adapted from Joy Nicholson’s acclaimed 1998 young adult novel of the same name, Garner plays a mother on the verge of a nervous breakdown after her husband (Weeds’ Justin Kirk) leaves her for another woman shortly after they move to the ritzy beach community of Palos Verdes, California, with their two teenage children (Maika Monroe and newcomer Cody Fern).

On Monday, Garner told reporters she’s “not interested in dating” since she and Affleck separated in June 2015 and filed for divorce this April, explaining, “People want to set me up and I am just like, ‘No thank you!’ ”

The 13 Going on 30 alum, who has three kids with Affleck — Violet, 12, Seraphina, 8 and Samuel, 5 — said of her life after the separation, “I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids. I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It’s something that we are working through.”

A source close to the actress told PEOPLE in this week’s issue that “Jen is great” and “is still getting used to being single.”

That doesn’t mean she wants to change it at this point, said the source. “She isn’t dating. She isn’t taking Ben back. She is happy where she is right now. She is a naturally positive and a very grateful person. She feels very lucky for her life with her kids.”
