Jennifer Garner got to spend some girl time with her mom, Patricia Garner, in Santa Monica on Monday.

The Alias alum, 51, looked very happy as she stepped out of her car wearing jeans, a black sweater, sunglasses and a ball cap.

The mom of three – who revealed she feels ‘guilt’ over being a working mom – had her brunette locks pulled into a ponytail and appeared to be makeup-free as she enjoyed the day in the coastal city with her mother.

The 13 Going On 30 star got to spend some time one-on-one with her mom while her children – Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ben Affleck were in school.

Jennifer’s family hails from West Virginia and she has two sisters – one older and one younger.

The mother-daughter outing comes after The Last Thing He Told Me actress got candid about the ‘guilt’ she feels over being a working mother with Access Hollywood. 

On Monday, she admitted she ‘gets freaked out’ about being a busy parent.

‘Working moms get such a bad… we get all freaked out because we’re told constantly “you have 18 summers,'” “you have this much time,” “time is fleeting,” and it makes you panic,’ she told guest correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi.

She continued: ‘So, if you come from a place of expansiveness instead of feeling just like “I can’t be a mom because I’m also working, and I’m supposed to be guilty all the time”, you better just lean into wherever you are any day exactly like right now just be here when your kids show up be there and we’ll have a great time.’

Jennifer makes sure to make time for her kids and credits her mother with her grounded approach to parenting.

‘My mom has always said to me, “You’re their mom forever. Don’t worry, you can do your job. You’re their mom forever. I wish I had worked. I would have been a better mom. Your kids are going to be so proud of you,”‘ she said.

In addition to acting, the Peppermint actress is also the founder of Once Upon a Farm, which makes ‘cold-pressed pouches and plant-rich meals for babies, toddlers, and big kids,’ according to the website.

And her three kids love to taste test new products when she brings them home.

‘They are just like, “Mom, is that new innovation in the fridge? Can we try that with you?”‘ she said. ‘They have a lot of ownership over this innovation.’

After splitting in 2015, Jennifer and Affleck have co-parented their three kids. And he gives her high marks as a mom.

In 2019, he told the Today Show that he tries ‘very hard’ to be a ‘good dad’ to Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

‘I’m lucky they got a great mom,’ he added at the time.
