The 2018 Girl Scout cookie-selling season officially kicked off in January, and Girl Scouts have been busy slinging Thin Mints and Samoas across the United States ever since. And, depending on where you live, you might run into one cookie salesperson who may totally surprise you: Jennifer Garner, actress and mom, apparently moonlights as a troop leader and was out selling cookies last weekend.
Garner, who is mother to 12-year-old Violet, 9-year-old Seraphina and 5-year-old Samuel, shared a picture on Instagram on Sunday of herself outside a grocery store. In the pic, she holds up a sign advertising all the Girl Scout cookies available for purchase.
“Why yes, kind sir, we do have Thin Mints,” she captioned the image, making it a post to which any Girl Scout mom could instantly relate.
Here’s Garner’s cute snapshot of her recent Girl Scout cookie-selling session:
But don’t be fooled into thinking that Garner’s trim figure is the result of munching on those Girl Scout cookies she’s selling. The actress has previously talked about the healthy smoothie she mixes up every morning for breakfast. The concoction is made with collagen protein powder, chia seeds, flax seed and spinach. She sweetens it with a few blueberries, almond milk and a bit of almond butter.
Her recent cookie-selling Instagram photo isn’t the first time Garner has talked about her enthusiasm for the 105-year-old Girl Scouts.
“I’ve been the room mom for pre-school and kindergarten this year, and I’m a Girl Scout troop leader for third grade,” Garner told People in 2015. “When I’m home, I dive in [and] I try to Betty Crocker it up as much as I can.”

Garner has also talked about the business techniques she was teaching the Girl Scouts under her wing.
“I’m the one telling the girls, you know, ‘Try to talk about the gluten-free because they’re a dollar more.’ Let’s have an up-sell!” she told “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
In October last year, Garner shared another candid peek at her life as a Girl Scout troop leader, posting a sleepy selfie on Instagram as she took a scout out to pee at 4 a.m. during a San Diego Zoo overnight trip:
If you don’t have a direct connection to the Girl Scouts, as Garner does, don’t worry—you can still get your cookie fix. In fact, you don’t even have to know a Girl Scout. Simply, go to the Girl Scout website’s cookie finder and type in your zip code to generate a list of nearby shops that sell them. You can also buy Girl Scout cookies year round on Amazon (what a time to be alive!).
Being a chaperone on a Girl Scout overnight trip and a shrewd cookie seller isn’t for everyone—but it’s clearly a role Garner enjoys. Can any other moms out there relate to Garner’s Girl Scout troop leader life?
