Jenny from the block refused to let a mishap that happened during her performance on last night’s Saturday Night Live episode ruin the show.

The 54-year-old movie star gave all she had on SNL as she performed her new song Can’t Get Enough, much like she always does when onstage.
The Grammy-nominated songstress locomoted rhythmically on SNL, seemingly becoming more amped as she shared the platform with the single’s featured rappers, Redman, 53, and Latto, 25.
In the blink of an eye, Jennifer’s hitch-free mini-concert hit a blip, coming about after she threw her hair a little too hard.
While the flashing stage lights made the accident not as noticeable as it could’ve been, it was still apparent that J. Lo had yanked out a hair extension.
Evidently, the piece of added hair had come loose, and rather than letting it hit the floor, Jennifer opted to remove it herself to get ahead of the inevitable.
She didn’t let a popped-out extension stop the show, continuing the performance with the same fervor as she had been.
Jennifer’s professionalism rocked fans so much that they had to address it on X, fka Twitter.
One fan wrote on the platform: “She did that! Slayed in every way!”
Another on social media added: “What a performer, shake it off and keep on! ”
OVERSHADOWED
Jennifer’s wardrobe malfunction might be enough to overshadow the recent embarrassing event involving her and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, 28.
In 2020, Ayo called Jennifer’s entire career a scam on the Scam Goddess podcast.
Saturday night, she responded to the controversy in one of the first skits on the show, titled Why’d you say it?”
Ayo played a contestant on a game show that challenged social media users, asking them why they made certain negative comments on random posts.
The actress tried to explain herself through her character.
“Ok, ok, we get it. It’s wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout,” she said. “Or run your mouth on a podcast. And you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid.
“But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on we’re going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online.”
The audience responded with howls of laughter, and X exploded with reaction.
COMING FULL CIRCLE
“Not Ayo Edebiri addressing her resurfaced jokes about Jennifer Lopez’s whole career being a scam during an SNL sketch lol,” one person tweeted.
“Ayo addresses the JLO controversy in the best way ever on #SNL,” tweeted another.
While on the 2020 podcast, the then-relatively unknown Ayo had this to say about the Latin icon.
She opened the segment by saying, “Today I was thinking about one of my favorite scams of all time because J. Lo is performing at the Super Bowl.”
“Her whole career is one long scam,” she continued.
Ayo went on to say, “I think she thinks she’s still good even though she’s not singing for most of these songs.”
Ayo’s comments resurfaced four years later, just before her SNL hosting debut.
In a full circle moment, the Emmy Award winner hosted the sketch show on February 3, 2024, with the Get Right crooner as the musical guest.
Ayo did not have the critical acclaim or fame she now has when she made the eviscerating comments about the pop diva.
Before the show, Ayo and Jennifer stood together in a series of scripted promotional videos ahead of the show.
