Jennifer Lopez faced backlash for a clip from her film where she reminisced about her youth in the Bronx, New York City, while her recent tour cancellations remain unexplained.

The Queen of Dance opened up about her life and her past in her new film This Is Me … Now: A Love Story. However, one clip, in particular, has gone viral, with people savagely trolling the 54-year-old singer.

In the viral clip, Jennifer was seen reminiscing about her youth as she stared at herself in a mirror, seemingly in a dance studio, while roughing up her hair.

JLo went on to say: “I like taking my hair out like this.

“It reminds me [of], like, when I was 16 in the Bronx running up and down the block.”

Most millennials will recognize the singer’s lyrics in her hit 2002 song Jenny From The Block, dedicated to her life growing up in the Bronx, a neighborhood of the Big Apple that was once considered a rougher area of the city.

While looking at her reflection, in a seemingly serious state of mind, Jennifer continued: “Crazy little girl who used to be f–kin wild.

“No limits. All dreams and s–t.”

The clip, which was posted by Prime Video earlier this month on TikTok and has garnered 11 million views, amassed tons of adverse reactions.

A TikTok user wrote: “I had no clue Jenny was from the Block.”

Another person commented: “I think she would like the song ‘Jenny from the Block.‘”

Someone else penned: “It’s giving me acting out scenarios when I’m home alone.”

Jennifer recently canceled several tour dates without explanation, The New York Post reported.

The upcoming This is Me … Now tour is the songstress’ first tour in five years. However, she canceled the dates from August 22 to 30.

According to Ticketmaster, JLo will not perform in Nashville, Tennessee; New Orleans, Louisiana; Raleigh, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Cleveland, Ohio; and Tampa, Florida.

Her film and subsequent album is a sequel to her 2002 hit This Is Me … Then, and it details the rekindling of her romance with now-husband Ben Affleck, The Post reported.

As per the American tabloid, the self-funded film, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime, was written by Ben, as well as Dave Meyers and Chris Shafer.
