There could be a new name coming to the ManningCast this season and it was alluded to on social media this week.

Peyton Manning was posted sitting in a chair on the ManningCast set reading through a binder. On the front, emblazoned in big lettering is written “THIRD HOST AUDITIONS” with it also marked “CONFIDENTIAL.”

On Tuesday, a video was posted of Peyton and Eli holding auditions for a third host.

In a 7-minute promo from Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, the ex-quarterback brothers have been asked to bring in a fresh personality to help host the alternate telecast.

Most of them were sports figures but also entertainment notables like Reese Witherspoon, Will Arnett, Lil Wayne, Howie Mandel, Kenan Thompson, and Sarah Silverman.

Officially known as “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli:, the alternative to the traditional broadcast has been a big hit with NFL fans.

About 1.5 million people watched the ManningCast in its first two seasons, according to Nielsen. It has been a rousing success that has everything from Eli Manning giving the double bird to Marshawn Lynch being taken off the air because he kept cursing.

It started in 2021 and there is one more year left on the deal between ESPN and Omaha Productions.

The first “Monday Night Football” game takes place on Sept. 11 when the Jets host the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium.
