If you asked anyone at this time yesterday, they probably would have told you that the most likely scenario for Tom Brady next season would see him playing for either the San Francisco 49ers of the Las Vegas Raiders…

It’s crazy how much can change within 24 hours.

With all of the rumors swirling about the GOAT’s next possible chapter in his illustrious NFL career, Brady shocked the world this morning by announcing his retirement on social media.

Raiders and 49ers fans will probably be the most disappointed to hear this news, but what if we told you all that neither team was actually on Brady’s short-list of possibilities for 2023?

According to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Brady told those close to him that his decision was down to two choices: retire or return for another year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Darlington states that this had been the case for months now, although you can’t help but wonder if his thinking had changed in recent weeks after what transpired in Las Vegas and San Francisco.

Regardless, it appears as though Brady will not be joining the Bucs, Raiders OR 49ers after all. Instead, it looks like we could be seeing the GOAT in a Fox broadcast booth even earlier than any of us had expected…
