The singer’s die-hard fans, better known as “Swifties,” are delighted with her presence in the stadiums, increasing the tickets and audiences of the NFL. However, there are also a large number of voices that have been inflexibly against it.

However, according to the Marist survey, negative voices barely reach 24% of American society. Another 70% consider Taylor’s presence at games a positive for the NFL, and the remaining 6% admitted to being unsure.

What do the Swifties think?

Although Marist did not give more specific figures, it did say that 80% of the “Eras” singer’s loyal followers and 71% of the pigskin sport fans consider her a positive influence on the National Football League.

When segmented by gender, 75% of women and 64% of men view the union of Swift and the NFL positively. Regardless of the demographic group, 70% of those surveyed have a generally positive opinion of the artist, against 30% who view her negatively.

Marist administered the survey between December 13 and 14 to 1,130 people over the age of 18 nationwide. Respondents were contacted via text or online, questions were available in English and Spanish.

Stephanie Calvano, director of Data Science and Technology at Marist, assured, “There’s no ‘bad blood’ between Americans and Taylor Swift. Her favorability rating is at a level that elected officials can only dream of reaching.”

“As Time magazine’s Person of the Year, Swift’s influence on the entertainment industry has been long documented. So, it’s not surprising that she would be just as impactful for the NFL,” said Calvano.
