Taylor Swift Announces New Social Media App, ‘The Swift Life’

Taylor Swift has announced details of her own social networking app called The Swift Life, which is expected to arrive at some point in “late 2017”, according to reports.

The new app is described as “a creative, inclusive and community-driven place for users to better connect with each other… and Taylor”.

Swift’s new app is the result of a partnership with US company Glu, best known for celebrity mobile games like Katy Perry PopBritney Spears: American DreamNicki Minaj: The Empire, and Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.  Glu CEO Nick Earl referred to her app as “a new digital entertainment project,” and “a deeply social environment,” but a press release didn’t elaborate any further on the details.

The Swift Life promises to offer exclusive photos and videos, replies from the singer herself, Swift-themed emojis (known as Taymojis) and the chance to listen to Taylor Swift’s music via the app.

“I’ve got something pretty awesome that we’ve been working on for awhile that I wanted to share with you,” Swift says in a video announcing the new app.

“I think you guys are really gonna like this. I mean, I hope. It would be preferable if you did,” she adds.

The singer’s highly-anticipated sixth album Reputation is scheduled for release on 10 November 2017 and so far she has released two songs ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and ‘…Ready For It?’

As recently reported by uDiscover, Taylor Swift has also recently announced two live shows. The singer last played live at Houston’s Club Nomadic on 4 February 2017 for a special show in partnership with DIRECTV. Now, Swift has been confirmed to make two forthcoming live appearances. On 2 December, she will join the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, Dua Lipa, Niall Horan and more at 99.7 Now’s Poptopia event in San Jose, California, before heading to Chicago for the B96 Jingle Bash on 7 December.
