Online, there is a touching video of Taylor Swift’s father Scott telling security at a Sydney event to bring a woman and her children into the VIP area.
This priceless scene happened on Monday during Swift’s last show in Sydney, just hours before Scott “Papa” Swift was accused of attacking a local photographer.
The video, which was uploaded to TikTok by a Swiftie, features Scott speaking with security in the front of a crowded throng before pointing out a young woman and her children.
On Swift’s orders, the security officers then approach the mother and lead her into the VIP area.
Swifties were quick to commend Scott for his exceptional deed of charity in the comment area.
One fan exclaimed, “There are no words for how awesome Scott Swift is,” while another said, “I started crying.” What a worthy mother.
The 71-year-old’s generous deed occurred just hours before he was charged with hitting 51-year-old photographer Ben McDonald at a ferry terminal in the Neutral Bay district on Tuesday at around 2.30 am, following the conclusion of her Eras tour’s Australian leg.
Prior to her father Scott being charged with hitting the man in the face, Taylor Swift’s team claims that an Australian photographer ‘threatened to throw a female staff member into the ocean’.
Scott and Taylor had taken a luxurious superyacht named Quantum from Homebush. Prior to the reported fight, footage showed Scott approaching the pier and threatening to give the photographers the finger.
‘Aggressive’ was the word used by a Taylor Swift spokesperson to describe the photographers’ actions to Daily Mail Australia.
Taylor claimed that two people were pushing their way towards her violently, tugging at her security guards, and threatening to throw a female employee into the lake.
The only woman present at the scene, according to Matrix Media Group CEO Mr McDonald, was Taylor, who attacked the statement as “utter rubbish.”
He said that the altercation was captured on camera and that there was no evidence of the photographers acting violently.
The North Shore Police Command has opened an inquiry into the reported incident.
The photographer accused Scott of “charging” at him after he and Taylor left the superyacht earlier on Tuesday.
