The Las Vegas Raiders benched Derek Carr to end the year and made it clear that they would look to trade, which would end his tenure with the franchise. It appears the team already knows which QB they want to replace him with.
Just recently, team owner Mark Davis complained about the lack of fan support in Allegiant Stadium where opposing fans seem to take over on home games. One way to fix that is get a proven QB behind center.
According to NFL Insider Albert Breer, the Raiders want to sign Tom Brady. They are also looking into Jimmy Garoppolo as well.
“I can tell you, unequivocally, it is a fact. The Raiders are looking into signing Tom Brady.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who initially retired in February before returning for a 23rd NFL season, will become an unrestricted free agent in 2023.
This past regular season was the first time he finished a season under .500, but the team is still headed for the postseason. The seven-time Super Bowl champion also recently divorced his wife of 13 years, Gisele Bundchen, and admitted the split has taken a toll on him.
Another playoff run could motivate Brady to return for a 24th NFL season.
Jimmy Garoppolo enjoyed a nice season with the 49ers before his injury, but the 31-year-old is set to hit free agency in March.
With San Francisco ready to hand the quarterbacking reins to Trey Lance again in 2024, Jimmy G could really be on his way out this time, and the Raiders might be his destination.
