What happened to Damar Hamlin on Monday night in Cincinnati has put a full stop to talking about anything football and playoff related as his health is the only thing that matters right now.
Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest in the first quarter of the eventually postponed matchup between the Bills and the Bengals. It came after a hit on Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins.
He stood up and then collapsed to the turf and needed to have his heartbeat restored before he left Paycor Stadium in an ambulance.
Tom Brady joined many concerned people when he took to social media and released a statement.
“We’re praying for Damar and his family this morning in Tampa,” Brady wrote Tuesday morning. “Moments like this put into perspective what it means to play this game we love. Thankful for our communities in Cincinnati and Buffalo for the overwhelming level of care and support I know they’ll continue to provide.”

One way fans and fellow NFL players alike are showing support for Hamlin and his family is by donation to his foundation’s charity toy drive. One of the most recent donations was for $10,000 from Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
The charity supports toy drives, back-to-school drives and kids camps in Hamlin’s hometown community in Pennsylvania.
The care and support for Hamlin also were acknowledged by his family, who released a statement Tuesday.
A new update on Hamlin’s status was not provided by his loved ones at that time. We, as well, continue praying for Damar Hamlin and his family during this terrifying time.
