Tom Brady shared a very curious message just one day after his ex-wife had a wide-ranging interview.
A day after the 42-year-old supermodel shut down rumors that she gave Brady an ultimatum to retire or lose her forever, the seven-time Super Bowl champ took to his Instagram story and posted about “enduring the betrayal of false friends.”
“What is success?” the quote by famed author Ralph Waldo Emerson began. “To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
“To appreciate the beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
Brady added three red heart emojis over the post.
Aside from his Instagram post, the 45-year-old has yet to directly address Bündchen’s cover story for the April 2023 issue of Vanity Fair.
Bundchen debunked the idea that her divorce was influenced by Brady’s decision to come out of retirement. She referred to that rumor as “the craziest thing I’ve ever heard.”
Brady announced that he was retiring “for good” on Feb. 1, 2023.
She admitted that moving on from her husband was tough.
“It’s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know? I believed in fairy tales when I was a kid,” Bundchen said. “I think it’s beautiful to believe in that. I mean, I’m so grateful I did.”
As for Brady, he is getting set to go through a comedy roast where he reportedly banned comics from talking about his marriage to Gisele.
The former Victoria’s Secret model vowed to continue to support Brady after their October divorce.
“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever,” she said.
“If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me.
“I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
Brady and Bündchen have two children together.
