Every football fan is waiting for one of the most important events in the NFL that’s happening in less than 10 days – the Super Bowl. Set to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 12, the Super Bowl LVIII is a rematch of the SB LIV between the defending SB champion Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. With this major event approaching, fans can’t help but recall a nostalgic past incident that happened to 7x SB champ Tom Brady.
It was 2017. Tom Brady was preparing to lead the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons at Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston. But something happened at the press conference that has since become one of the best all-time media week moments.
Recently, a Twitter post brought a hint of nostalgia with a vintage clip of the NFL GOAT. A 7-year-old once asked Tom Brady who his hero was. The response and emotion that the football legend imparted are enough to make a grown person tear up. “I think my dad is my hero because he’s someone that I look up to every day. My dad.”
Tom Brady Sr., along with his wife Galynn Patricia Brady, have always been supportive of Tom Brady in his 23 career years who went on to become an unrivaled QB in the NFL. The 46-year-old retired QB has always been vocal about his love and respect for his parents for their unwavering support. He credits them for his success on the Let’s Go Podcast saying, “When you think about this holiday and the commitment that parents make and that my parents made to me and my career is unbelievable.” And now fast forward to 2024, the Super Bowl is here again and interestingly, Brady has a competitor vying for his GOAT status.
