Her latest film Shotgun Wedding has already been beset by lousy reviews ahead of its January 27 premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

But Jennifer Lopez was focused on the future on Thursday as she continued to work on her upcoming action thriller The Mother.

The 53-year-old actress and singer was seen filming some reshoots for the movie in an ultra-casual costume that was a far cry from her usual glamorous ensembles.

She was filming on a rainy, overcast Los Angeles day, which perfectly suited her casual wintry costume.

What a difference! Jennifer Lopez eschewed her usual haute couture ensembles for a rugged costume as she filmed reshoots for her upcoming action thriller The Mother on Thursday

Jennifer looked toasty in a loose-fitting gray sweater that was frayed around the hem, which she covered up with a gray corduroy jacket with a fleece lining and and breast and sleeve pockets.

She also had on a set of large weathered black pants that were bunched up above her rugged brown hiking boots.

She wore her messy brunette locks styled down and capped off with a charcoal toque.

Jennifer, who was spotted doing some of her own makeup between takes, also appeared to sport some fake bruises on her face, a standard accessory for action films.

The Hustlers star stayed warm on the breezy day by sipping from a mug that she carried with herself.

The Mother is the latest film from director Niki Caro, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed film Whale Rider and Disney’s live-action flop Mulan, which was released on Disney+ for a fee in September 2020, while many movie theaters will still closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Jennifer stars in the high-octane thriller as an ex-assassin who tries to leave her bloody past behind, only to take up the role once again to protect her estranged daughter, even as other assassins are on her tail.

Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal and Omari Hardwick also star in the film, which will stream on Netflix beginning on May 12, 2023.
