Kevin Durant claims to be 6’9″, but his father, Wayne Pratt, and brother, Tony, maintain that Durant is 7’0″. This was a segment of a film that Overtime produced in which they asked young nationwide athletes how tall Durant is. KD’s father and brother were among the nearly unanimous players who stated he was at least seven feet tall.
In an interview with Team USA, Durant said he was 6’9″ and attacked Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, and Bam Adebayo for having fabricated their heights. However, it seems that KD may not have been entirely truthful about his height since he is now being denied by everyone in his immediate vicinity, including his family.

In NBA circles, Kevin Durant’s height has long been a topic of conversation because many people are curious about his height. Many in the above video believe that he is 7’1″. However, his height has been recorded as low as 6’9″ (which Durant himself believes) and as high as 7’1″.
Notwithstanding the specifics of his stature, Durant is unquestionably one of the most talented players in NBA history at his position. Despite being almost 7’0″, Durant is an excellent shooter and has established himself as one of the all-time great scorers in NBA history. As a two-time NBA champion, Durant has cemented his place among the sport’s all-time greats.
Will Kevin Durant Solidify His Legacy As The Olympic GOAT?
Durant hopes to use his full 6’9″ (or 7’0″) height to help Team USA win the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This is Durant’s fourth Olympics after being a vital component of the team’s 2012, 2016, and 2020 victories. If he wins a gold medal in Paris, he will overtake Carmelo Anthony as the most successful men’s Olympic basketball player in Team USA history.
Like Durant, Carmelo Anthony has won three gold medals but took home a bronze from the 2004 Olympics. If Durant wins the gold, his total medal count will match Melo’s, but Durant will be ahead since he has more gold medals than Melo.
Due to an injury, Kevin Durant hasn’t played in any of Team USA’s practice matches yet. Durant has just had a challenging season with the Phoenix Suns. With an average of 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 75 games, KD continued to produce impressive results. But Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves would handily sweep him and the Suns in the opening round.
