Fans believe they have a pretty good idea of what Travis Kelce was thinking about when he arrived at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 17, for the Kansas City Chiefs’ first preseason home game.
The Chiefs tight end was filmed striding down a hallway Saturday afternoon just a short time before his team’s game was due to begin. Kelce, 34, was comfortably dressed in a black T-shirt, matching hat and dark sunglasses, completing the look with black shorts that featured subtle red stripes.
Though he aimed a small smile at the camera tracking his entrance for a video the Chiefs later shared on social media, he quickly turned his gaze ahead, seemingly focused on the upcoming game.
Some Swifties online suspected Kelce was actually thinking about pop superstar Taylor Swift, his girlfriend of over a year. Swift, 34, performed onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium as part of her hit international Eras Tour about the same time that the NFL star was spotted arriving at the stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
Thinking about Taylor probably,” one Swiftie wrote in response to the video the Chiefs shared on X, formerly Twitter. Others thought Kelce gave a nod to his girlfriend through his outfit, which they noted was “rep tv coded” in a possible reference to Swift’s long-rumored Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album.
All black and some red huh? Rep tv incoming?” one fan wondered.
The look had “Big reputation” vibes, another fan agreed.
Preseason is in full swing for the Chiefs as the team hopes to pull a third consecutive Super Bowl win out of the upcoming 2024 NFL season. The Chiefs lost their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week and began their first home game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday afternoon.
Next, the Chiefs are scheduled to play the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 22.
