The film is set in, ‘a rural forgotten area,’ following a mother (Lawrence) who, ‘struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis.’

Lawrence will also serve as a producer through her production company Excellent Cadaver alongside Justine Ciarrocchi.

Martin Scorsese will also produce the film alongside Andrea Calderwood, though it isn’t clear if the project has a studio home at this time.

Both Pattinson and Lawrence are two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with their films grossing nearly $10 billion worldwide.

They both came into prominence around roughly the same time, with Pattinson being launched into worldwide fame with the 2008 film Twilight.

Two years later, Lawrence earned her first Oscar nomination for Winter’s Bone and was then cast as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise.

Both film franchises dominated much of the pop culture landscape throughout the 2010s, and both lead actors took very different routes once those franchises ended.

Pattinson went on to star in indie films like Cosmopolis, The Rover, Maps to the Stars, Good Time, High Life and The Lighthouse.

He ultimately returned to major studio fare with Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in 2020 and The Batman in 2022, and he’ll next be seen in Mickey-17 from Bong Joon Ho.
