Bryant’s Third Statue to Feature Him in His No. 24 Lakers Uniform
According to information provided by his wife, Vanessa Bryant, in February 2024, the Lakers would finally honor Bryant with three statues. This statue represents his second one. Additionally, she delivered a moving statement when introducing the first statue.
“To the fans here in LA, this is a special city Kobe was so proud to represent. You welcomed him with open arms and have been so important to him, our family, and his legacy. And for the record, Kobe picked the pose you’re about to see. So if anyone has any issues with it, tough s—. It is what it is. As I see today’s current generation of star players follow in Kobe’s footsteps with huge scoring games, I know he would take pride in knowing that he is still pouring inspiration into the game that was so special to him.” Vanessa Bryant unveiled Bryant’s first statue in February 2024 and made a statement about it.
The third statue will depict Bryant wearing his No. 24 Lakers uniform. The second statue has generated excitement among fans, who can’t wait to see the third one.
