It isn’t easy to make a name for yourself in college, as you must be one of the best in your sport to get a shot at the pros. However, there are other reasons why someone may possibly make a name for themselves—just ask Georgia Southern soccer star Hailey Esser.

Unlike fellow social media star and namesake Haliey Welch, or ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl as most know her as, Esser is going viral after a few pictures of her were posted to the X page Campus Cuties.

Esser is a freshman at Georgia Southern, where she wears number 12 and plays defender for the team. Esser is from Holly Springs, North Carolina and currently has just under 18,000 followers, which will most likely go up soon.

Is Hailey Esser The Next University Soccer Star?

Esser comes from an athletic background, as both her parents were athletes. Her mother, Gaye, was a track star at UNC Wilmington, while her grandfather, Walt, enjoyed success in both track and football at the collegiate level.

She attended Middle Creek High School, where she won defensive player of the year and was a two-time All-Conference honoree. Not only did Esser lead her team in scoring as a freshman, but she also had the most game-winning goals as a sophomore and junior.

While many fans may not know the University Soccer star’s name yet, they will in due time, as she is one of the best players from her town and one of the most stunning players on the pitch. She will indeed look to impress as much on the field as she does on her social media pages.
