Did Anthony Edwards jump on the Hawk Tuah hype train?

The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar, who just won a gold medal in Paris, is going insanely viral after a picture surfaced showing him wearing a T-shirt with the phrase “If she doesn’t Hawk Tuah, I don’t wanna Tawk Tuha.”

The alleged shirt Anthony Edwards is wearing was so well done that Haliey Welch, the girl from the original “Hawk Tuah” meme, jumped in the comment section to ask, “What have I done?”

Despite the shirt that Edwards is shown to have on, it should be stated that the account that posted it has been known for falsely saying things to make it go viral and this appears to be another incident since Anthony Edwards doesn’t have this picture posted anywhere on his social media sites.

It still garnered a bunch of hilarious reactions:

It is truly amazing that the phrase has not died yet, and Haliey Welch continues to get her fifteen minutes of fame extended. It was all due to a photoshopped picture of Anthony Edwards sporting her phrase with a little more added to it.

In the meantime, Edwards is dealing with the backlash from his latest words, which he cannot blame on Photoshop.

Anthony Edwards Caused Issues For Blasting Old NBA Generations While Praising Michael Jordan

Anthony Edwards recently admitted in an interview he “didn’t watch” the NBA “back in the day” and can’t speak directly about the talent level in the game then.

However, he spoke about perceived toughness and how nobody had the skills quite like Michael Jordan.

“They say it was tougher back then than it is now, but I don’t think anybody had skill back then. [Michael Jordan] was the only one that really had skill, you know what I mean? So that’s why when they saw Kobe [Bryant], they were like, ‘Oh, my God.’ But now everybody has skill,” Edwards said.

His comments went so viral that Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas responded back to Anthony Edwards’ claim that past generations of NBA players lacked skill on his X page:
