Caitlin Clark now has 2 double-doubles this season with points & assists.
The only rookie in WNBA history to have more was Sue Bird in 2002. pic.twitter.com/hDssdrooqY

The day before the game Clark called the opportunity to play against Taurasi a “dream come true.”
“That’s somebody I grew up idolizing and looking up to and wanting to be like one day,” Clark said. “Obviously she’s one of the greatest players our game has ever seen, greatest scorer our game has ever seen… You get to live out your dream while playing against the best, one of the best there ever has been.”
The three-time WNBA champion then greeted Clark prior to the game:

That 3rd quarter is a prime example of why turnovers simply don't matter when it comes to Caitlin Clark.
Look at the pace she plays with and how she gets her teammates so many easy looks.

Kesley Mitchell put up clutch points in the fourth quarter before Clark scored on two late free throws to help seal the win.
