Football fans are destroying Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill over his take on the top five quarterbacks in the NFL right now.

During a recent Instagram Live session, Tyreek Hill was asked by a fan to name his top five quarterbacks in the league. Hill listed Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), Miami teammate Tua Tagovailoa, Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens), Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) and Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Unsurprisingly, fans crushed Hill over his questionable list:

Debates like top five players at any given position will always draw plenty of debate. It’s no surprise that Hill chose Tagovailoa, even though almost every non-Dolphins fan would agree that he isn’t a top-five signal-caller.

And with all due respect to Tyreek Hill, there’s just no way you can argue that Mayfield is a top-five quarterback. He was ninth in passing yards last season (4,044) and seventh in passing touchdowns (28).

It’s also practically impossible to make a case that Mayfield is a better quarterback than the likes of Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals) and Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles).

But as several fans pointed out in response to Tyreek Hill’s video, there could be some saltiness towards Allen because of his dominance over Miami. The Bills are 4-1 against the Dolphins since Hill’s arrival, having swept the season series a year ago.

Last season, the 30-year-old Hill caught 119 passes (tying his career-high) for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, both of which led the NFL.

Tyreek Hill & Dolphins Open Season vs. Jaguars

The Dolphins, coming off a fourth straight winning season and second consecutive playoff appearance, will now try to win the franchise’s first playoff game since 2000.

Hill and the Dolphins will open the 2024 season at home against Trevor Lawrence and the in-state Florida rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami has won each of their last three Week 1 contests.
